Statement
I am the artist @chelseascreename, an art brut that works in epoxy resin collage. My artwork is bright and eclectic exploring feminist topics. My current art series IN FERTILITY has explored women’s reproductive issues including my own psychological journey in dealing with an infertility diagnosis and utilizing IVF technology in Texas. With my series I raise awareness of infertility, IVF, and the psychologically complex emotions in a woman’s reproductive reality.
My IN FERTILITY series has won a spot in the Emerging Artist Category of the Bayou Arts Festival in Houston, and as a featured artist with highest Jury score at the Luminaria Arts Festival in San Antonio.
